๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ WE NEED YOUR HELP โ€ฆ PLEASE SIGN THIS ONLINE PETITION ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ

Please could you all take a moment to sign this petition (link below) to remove Paragraph 11(d) and Footnote 8 from the National Planning Policy Framework. Your signature supports our SKHGB campaign as youโ€™re helping to push for a genuinely community-led planning system that gives local voices real power and strengthens protections for the green belt we all care so much about. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“ข๐Ÿ“ข๐Ÿ“ข PLANNING DECISION DATE ๐Ÿ“ข๐Ÿ“ข๐Ÿ“ข

Please be aware that the โ€˜Anticipated decision dateโ€™ posted on the AVBC Planning Portal (Application No: AVA/2025/0587) is incorrect. The date stated (12 February) has now passed but no new date has been given. Our best intelligence is that the application will go before the Planning Board during April or May. We will let you know when a new decision date is given.

There are currently 1275 objections on the AVBC Planning Portal โ€“ FANTASTIC! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŽ‰ You can continue to send in your objections right up until the planning decision date which is yet to be confirmed. Donโ€™t forget you can refer to the โ€˜How to Objectโ€™ link on www.skhgb.co.uk for guidance, or to download a template objection letter.

๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฟ TANTS MEADOW SURVEY ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฟ

Thank you for your brilliant feedback to the survey โ€“ we had a total of 59 responses. The survey has now been deactivated.

As promised, to reflect the lived experiences of local residents, SKHGB has already forwarded your feedback to Derbyshire County Council (while they are considering Wheeldonโ€™s revised Traffic Assessment), and we have issued a formal objection to Amber Valley Borough Council.

A summary of responses is available on the website:

Again, many thanks to everyone who participated. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ SPRING WALK FOR THE GREEN BELT ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒผ
๐Ÿ“… Saturday 18 April 2026
๐Ÿ•ข 7.30am
๐Ÿ“ Start point: The Hunters Arms Car Park, Church Street, Kilburn

Following on from the hugely successful Winter Walk for the Green Belt, we are hosting an Early Bird Spring Walk which coincides with the NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION FOR NATURE. This nationwide event, organised by the Community Planning Alliance, is inviting communities across the UK to come together to celebrate and protect the green spaces we love. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

Everyone is welcome. Our walk will take us across the beautiful Green Belt fields that we are fighting so hard to protect. As itโ€™s an early start, weโ€™d like to extend our gratitude to The Coach & Horses in Horsley who have offered to open early, to allow all walkers a short break, where breakfast cobs and refreshments will be available to purchase before the return walk to Kilburn. We expect the walk to be completed by 11am at the latest.

๐Ÿ’šWe'd be very grateful if you would like and share this post with your Facebook friends ... and invite them to join our group. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!๐Ÿ’š
