DO YOU EVER WALK, DRIVE, CYCLE OR PASS ALONG TANTS MEADOW?
We’re asking everyone who uses Tants Meadow to complete our very short survey.
Many residents already know how difficult and at times unsafe this road can be. Now imagine around 400 additional vehicles using it every day. That’s exactly why we need to act now and show the council what the road is really like in day-to-day use.
Thank you to everyone who has already taken part, your responses really do matter. However, we urgently need more people to complete the survey so we can present clear community evidence based on real experiences, not just opinions.
It takes only a few minutes, and you do not need to provide any personal details. Every response strengthens our case and helps protect our Green Belt
and local safety.
We will be submitting the results to Derbyshire County Council while they review Wheeldon’s revised Traffic Assessment, and they may also support a further objection to Amber Valley Borough Council.
Please don’t assume others will do it — your input could make the difference.

SPRING WALK FOR THE GREEN BELT ![]()
![]()
Saturday 18 April 2026
7.30am
Start point: The Hunters Arms Car Park, Church Street, Kilburn
Following on from the hugely successful Winter Walk for the Green Belt, we are hosting an Early Bird Spring Walk which coincides with the NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION FOR NATURE
. This nationwide event, organised by the Community Planning Alliance, is inviting communities across the UK to come together to celebrate and protect the green spaces we love.
Our walk will take us across the beautiful Green Belt fields that we are fighting so hard to protect. As it’s an early start, we’d like to extend our gratitude to The Coach & Horses in Horsley who have offered to open early, to allow all walkers a short break, where breakfast cobs
and refreshments
will be available to purchase before the return walk to Kilburn. We expect the walk to be completed by 11am at the latest.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
